Examination and Assessment

 

  1. The total marks of each course account of four points and be accounted to approximately 0 .5.

  2. The total marks in certain course are the sum of the first and second exams of the semester.

  3. The final subject assessment or exam is done at the end of the semester. 50% is devoted to the final examination and the remaining 50% for various internal assessments during the semester.

  4. The semester assessments consist of two written exams. The first exam takes place before the end of week five. The second exam takes place before week 10. Exams papers should be returned to the students after the examination.

  5. The semester

  6. Assessment could be made through an oral exams or assignments but not to exceed 10% of the total marks.

  7. The final assessment of research project I and Research project II is provided after a research discussion of the both projects (viva).

  8. The assessment marking for the foundation program results are shown as Pass / fail base. Considering 50% as pass mark.

  9. Pass / fail are the assessment based on all the English subjects that are considered as college requirements.  

  10. 50% is the minimum pass mark which equals grade D.

  1.  The accumulative average represents the average of the all subjects that students have studied through during his /her study period.

  2. The student is allowed to re-take the subject he/she has failed in, which means that the new score will be considered after deleting the previous score whatever it was.  However, both of the scores should be recorded in the student’s marks Profile (transcript).

  3. The accumulative average is determined in points and grade description

  4. The semester average is computed as following: multiplying the value of each subject by the number of its credit hours; then divide that by the total registered hours in that semester.

  5. The general average point is computed by multiplying the average of each semester by the total hours for all semesters.

  6. The semester and accumulative general point averages are computed to the nearest two decimals.
