Computer Labs

The college has six PC laboratories namely LAB1, LAB2, LAB3, LAB4, LAB5 & Language Lab1 (LL1). These labs consist of Intel core 2 duo, Pentium 3 and Pentium 4 based processor system with an average of 1 GB RAM running on Windows XP operating system. All these systems are connected to the SUC network. This enables sharing of resources available on the SUC network using Windows Server 2000 & 2003 operating system. The Language Lab1 has a special ICM (Information & Communication Manager) facility for offering learning sessions interactively.

There are around 150 computers in the labs for the student’s access anytime.

Lab 1, Lab2, Lab3, Lab4 & LAB 5 consists of 25 systems respectively. These labs are also provided with internet connections.

The language lab (LL1) is equipped with 16 numbers of IBM systems with multimedia facilities. This lab is networked to a Windows based Dell Server that acts as a teacher console and runs the ICM (Information & Communication Manager) application for classroom management. All the machines are connected with headphone & speakers.

All the above labs satisfies the requirements for conducting IT lab sessions that take the students from an initial level of no computing experience to understand and being able to apply the fundamental concepts of computer hardware and software applications. All the five labs are equipped with LCD Projectors to aid visual delivery. These labs are also utilized as an open access lab, which gives the student an opportunity to practice their lab exercises and do the necessary documentation required for completing their assignment and reports.
