SUC : SUC Virtual Seminar on Health & Safety Procedures: Information for Students

As part of its plan to raise the awareness of SUC Community on H&S policy and procedures, SUC represented in its Health, Safety & Disaster Management Committee in cooperation with the Students Affairs Department conducted a virtual seminar for the students through ZOOM platform under the title: “SUC Health & Safety Awareness for Students” on Thursday 11/02/2021. The main aim is to ensure that the students are familiar with SUC H&S procedures, protocols and the responsibilities.

The seminar has been initiated with welcome speech from Dr. Mahmoud Al-Manayseh, the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, followed by the presentation by SUC H&S Committee chair. The following topics were demonstrated and explained during the seminar with examples from the college premises’ safety equipment: SUC Health & Safety Policy, basic safety guidelines, COVID-19 protocols and instructions, safety equipment instructions, the area familiarization (including the committee representatives with respect to each department/unit), the exit doors with their corresponding assembly points and the incident reporting procedures for the students.

Finally, the students were informed to strictly adhere to the supreme committee decisions and instructions such as wearing a mask, washing hands regularly, using hand sanitizers and practice social distancing at least 2 meters away from others, following healthy habits and to take the responsibility and follow the preventative measures against COVID-19 to prevent further spread of the various.
