Department of Business Administration

Oman has one of the fastest developing economies in the Middle East.  The last two decades have witnessed tremendous development in the Industrial, Information Technology, Tourism and Service sectors of the economy. This necessitates a large number of trained professionals in the business and allied fields to support this amazing growth. 

The Department of Business Administration, Sur University College, bearing this in mind, has designed appropriate business courses to educate and train human resources to be a part of this growing economy and also to contribute to the process of nation building.

The courses offered by this Department are in the specializations of Accounting, Finance and Banking, Management, Marketing and Hotel Management and tourism, which would enable students to be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed by prospective employers in both the government and private sectors. From the Arts and Humanities the core requirement (College requirement) are:  Technical English 1, Technical English 2, Communication English 1, Communication English 2, English for Academic purpose, Research method, Statistics, Principles of Management and Basic Computing.

The department is staffed with highly qualified faculty with many years of academic and industrial experience.
