Goals

 

The department of business administration is committed to build entrepreneurial and professional skills among the students and for the development of the community in the region which are critical inputs in supporting the nation in its endeavor towards the social and economic well being of the citizens.  The department does this by developing the student’s skill and qualifications in the areas of business and management.

 

Objectives

 

1.     Develop entrepreneurial and risk taking attitudes among the students

2.     Build student’s knowledge, skill and attitude in accordance with the changing needs of the industry at the national and international level

3.     Expose the students to the current events and developments that are taking place in and around the business world.

4.     Facilitate job training in reputed industrial/commercial organization

5.     Develop research skill and aptitude among the students

6.     Develop the analytical and presentation skills among the students

7.     Enable them to use Information Technology tools in making business/managerial decisions.

8.     Develop and update learning curriculum appropriate to the local and international needs

9.     Build professional competencies among the teaching staff through facilitating them to carry out research and to attend seminars/conferences and symposia.

10. Providing consultancy services to industrial/commercial organizations

11. Conducting training programs for the personnel of industrial/commercial organizations.

12. Publish news letters, journals and other periodical related to business

13. Conducting seminars/workshops and conferences on business and related disciplines.
